What is Base64?
A way to write any binary data using Latin letters, digits, + and /. Used in email, JSON, data URIs and tokens.
What is URL-safe Base64?
A variant where + and / are replaced with - and _, and trailing = signs are removed, so it can be used in URLs and file names.
Is Base64 encryption?
No. It is encoding: anyone can decode it. Do not store passwords this way.
