What is a Unix timestamp?
The number of seconds since 1 January 1970 00:00:00 UTC. Databases, logs and APIs store time this way.
Seconds or milliseconds?
Usually 10 digits are seconds (PHP, Python, Unix) and 13 digits are milliseconds (JavaScript, Java). The converter detects it.
What is the year 2038 problem?
Systems storing time in a signed 32-bit integer overflow on 19 January 2038. Modern 64-bit systems are not affected.
